Vilnius

Vilnius

Vilnius is one of Europe's best-kept secrets — a compact capital with one of the continent's largest baroque Old Towns, a self-declared bohemian republic in Užupis, and a food scene that punches well above its weight. Cobblestone lanes open onto hidden courtyards, street art covers entire buildings, and the surrounding forests are close enough for a morning hike before lunch. Affordable, walkable, and full of character, Vilnius is an ideal city break for travelers looking beyond the usual European capitals.
