Bulgaria will stage the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2027, earned by Dara's win at the 2026 final in Vienna. The contest is the largest live music event in the world, with around forty countries competing across two semi-finals and a Grand Final.
The host city is decided in August 2026. Sofia and Burgas are the frontrunners, as the two cities with arenas that meet Eurovision's capacity rules. The exact dates land with that decision, though the contest is always held across a week in mid-May.
Whichever city wins the bid, expect a Eurovision Village with free screenings and a city centre that runs on music for the full week.
