Events in Bulgaria: what to know

Until the venue is named, Sofia is the safest assumption: it has the main international airport and the largest arena capacity in the country. If the contest goes elsewhere, the announcement will move demand there overnight.

Eurovision occupies its host city for a full week of rehearsals, parties and the three live shows, and the rooms nearest the arena go within days of the announcement. A refundable Sofia booking now costs nothing to move later.
