Everyone answers that differently, so here is where we actually have hotels: the Dolomites, the Amalfi Coast above the Path of the Gods, Kumano Kodo country in Japan, the Norwegian fjords and Patagonia.

We hold fifteen hotels in Britain, four of them in the Lake District. We list places to stay rather than routes, so pick the walk first and the hotel second.

There is always somewhere in season. The Alps and the British parks are summer, Japan and New England are autumn, the Atlantic islands are spring, and Patagonia and New Zealand run on the southern summer.
