To enter Mexico, you need a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity, and most travelers also need a Forma Migratoria Multiple (FMM) tourist card.
Do I need a passport to book a hotel on trip1?
No. You don't need a passport to book a hotel on trip1 - just a valid email address. The hotel will ask for ID at check-in, not trip1.
What ID do I need to present at hotel check-in?
Hotels accept any valid government-issued photo ID at check-in - passport, national ID, or driver's license. For international stays, bring your passport.
Can I use a digital booking confirmation at hotel check-in?
Yes - almost all hotels accept a digital trip1 booking confirmation on your phone at check-in. A printed copy is rarely required but handy as backup.
