Booking a stay around sport events
Big fixtures reshape a whole city for a weekend: roads close, metro lines pack out, and hotel rates around the stadium can triple. The fix is booking a stay picked for the fixture, not just the city. trip1 lists major sport events with nearby hotels checked for the match or race dates, ranked by distance to the ground.
For race weekends and multi-day tournaments, staying close matters twice a day — getting in before the crowds and out after the final whistle. Compare stays in your own currency, pay in crypto, and keep free cancellation in your pocket in case the fixture moves.

Sport travel FAQs
Common questions about travelling for sport events.
The moment the fixture or race calendar is confirmed — stadium-district hotels are usually the first in the city to fill, and rates rise steeply in the final month. Booking early on trip1 is low-risk since most rooms cancel free.
Near the ground if the event is the whole point of your trip: you skip the post-match transport crush. If you want nightlife and sightseeing too, the centre works — each event page shows both, ranked by distance, so you can weigh it per trip.
Yes — every stay on trip1 checks out in crypto, including BTC, ETH, and USDC, with prices comparable in your own currency before you commit.
Most rooms on trip1 come with free cancellation up to a few days before check-in, so a moved fixture usually just means rebooking for the new date. Check the cancellation terms shown on each rate before you book.
