About The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail at Arley Hall
Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail is an after-dark walk through Halloween Town, now making its UK debut at Arley Hall & Gardens in Cheshire after runs in New York, Austin and São Paulo. Jack Skellington, Sally and Zero lead the way past light installations, 3D sculptures and scenes set to songs from the 1993 film. The trail takes about 75 minutes and runs from 22 October 2026 to 3 January 2027, so it covers both Halloween and Christmas. All ages are welcome.
Arley Hall is a Victorian country estate near Northwich, about 40 minutes' drive south-west of Manchester city centre and 25 minutes from Manchester Airport. The trail winds through the estate's woodland on a flat but uneven natural path, so wear outdoor shoes and warm layers. There is no station at Arley; most visitors drive, and on-site parking should be booked in advance with your ticket. Knutsford and Northwich are the nearest railway stations, a short taxi ride away.
Entry is by timed evening slot, so the trail ends late. Hotels near Arley Hall in Knutsford or Northwich keep the drive back to around 15 minutes on dark country lanes. If you would rather combine the trail with a city break, stay in Manchester and drive or taxi out for the evening.
