Phone or wallet stolen abroad - access your booking?
In short
- Your paid trip1 booking is safe even if your phone or wallet is stolen - it is already paid and confirmed.
- Log in to your trip1 account from any other device to view your booking, or contact support to resend your confirmation.
- You do not need your crypto wallet again to check in for a booking you already paid for.
Having your phone or wallet stolen abroad is frightening, and worrying about your hotel on top of that makes it worse. The good news: a booking you have already paid for is secure.
Your paid booking does not depend on your wallet
Once you pay and trip1 confirms your booking, the stay is locked in. You do not need your crypto wallet again to check in. Losing access to your wallet does not cancel or affect a confirmed booking.
How to access your booking
Step 1 - Log in from another device
Use any computer or borrowed device to log in to your trip1 account and open your bookings to see your confirmation.
Step 2 - Contact trip1 support
If you cannot log in, contact trip1 support with the email you booked with and your booking details, and we will resend your confirmation.
Step 3 - Use your name and ID at the hotel
The hotel can usually find your reservation with your name and a photo ID, so you can still check in.
Protecting your accounts after a theft
Separately from your booking, secure your stolen accounts: change your passwords and follow your wallet provider's steps to protect your funds. Your trip1 booking itself is not at risk from the theft.
