Strada Poiana Soarelui 160, 500001 Brașov, Romania
Drumul Roșu is the longest ski slope in Poiana Brașov and one of the longest in Romania, running 4,752 m and shedding roughly 715 m of height from the Cristianul Mare shoulder down to the valley. Grading sits between easy and medium, which in practice means a broad forest road with steady pitch, a few flat stretches where speed matters, and enough width for a second-week skier to make long turns without traffic pressure.
A relaxed descent takes 20 to 30 minutes, longer with a stop at the mountain huts near the top station. Because much of Drumul Roșu runs under trees, it is the sensible pick when wind closes the upper installations or flat light makes the open pitches unreadable. Grooming and closure status for every run is published on the official Poiana Brașov slope page, worth checking before you buy.
Pro Tip: Carry speed through the two flat sections in the lower half, or you will be poling for 200 m. Start your last full descent by 15:15, since the Postăvarul Expres gondola and every other lift stop at 16:00.
