Jalan Kayu Aya (locally Eat Street or Jalan Laksmana) is Seminyak's main commercial strip - 1.5 km of restaurants, designer boutiques, art galleries, spas, and beach-clothing shops between Jalan Camplung Tanduk and Petitenget Temple. The strip is at its best 16:00-22:00 when the heat has dropped. Bali-based fashion designers like Magali Pascal, Bali Boat Shed, and Bamboo Blonde have their flagships here.

Food highlights: Sarong (Bali tasting menu, 450000 IDR), Mama San (Chinese-Indonesian fusion), Sea Vu Play (seafood), and Sisterfields (Australian-influenced brunch). Boutiques tend to close at 22:00. Bargaining is uncommon at Seminyak shops (Ubud is where you bargain). Cash and major cards both accepted. Allow 3-4 hours for a slow shop and dinner walk.
