6 Pl. Saint-Pierre, 75018 Paris, France
The 93rd Fete des Vendanges de Montmartre runs from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 October 2026, under the theme of music. Montmartre has grown wine since the 12th century, when the nuns of the abbey planted the first vines on the Butte, and the Clos Montmartre vineyard on Rue des Saules is what survives of it. The festival has marked the harvest every second weekend of October since 1934 and now draws around 500,000 people, making it the third-busiest event in Paris. The city's tourist board keeps the programme on its official site.
Five days of programming run across the whole 18th arrondissement and every official event is free. The Parcours du Gout sets producers and winemakers out at the foot of Sacre-Coeur, the Grand Parade of brotherhoods is led by the Republique de Montmartre, and there is a 5km night run plus a closing ball at Square Louise Michel. Only the food and wine at the tasting stalls costs money.
Pro Tip: Come up via Abbesses on Metro line 12 rather than Anvers on line 2. Anvers funnels everyone onto the same stair up to Sacre-Coeur and it gridlocks during the parade. Abbesses puts you inside the neighbourhood instead of at the bottom of it.
