The international entry, and the one Munich restaurant that draws people who could eat anywhere. KOI works robata grill and sushi across a long sharing menu: small plates 9.50 to 36 euros, robata mains 25 to 99, sushi and rolls 14 to 39, and an Omakase selection at 54 euros for the small or 99 for the large, which is the most controlled way to order here.
Reported hours are Monday from 18:00, Tuesday to Friday 12:00 to 15:00 and 18:00 to midnight, Saturday from 18:00, closed Sunday. The restaurant blocks automated checking of its own site, so ring to confirm before you travel rather than trusting any listing, including this one. Reservations by phone or email, and essential at weekends.
Two warnings. Dishes arrive as soon as they are ready and are set in the middle to share, which works for a group of four and frustrates anyone who wanted their own main course. And meat priced per 100 g hides the real bill: beef fillet teriyaki at 25 euros per 100 g is not a 25 euro dish. The room is dim, candlelit and firmly see-and-be-seen, so smart dress is expected even without a stated code.
Pro Tip: Order the 54 euro Omakase and one vegetable side and stop there. It caps the bill, it is the kitchen's own edit, and it sidesteps the per-100-g meat pricing that turns a casual dinner into a three-figure one. Take the Tuesday to Friday lunch if you want the food without the scene.
