Hotels near Old Town Market Square Ice Rink

The Old Town Market Square, surrounded by colourful rebuilt merchant houses, becomes the heart of the Christmas season with an ice rink set up around the statue of the Warsaw Mermaid, the city's symbol. Market stalls surround the rink, selling food, drinks and gifts.

In recent years, the rink has been open daily during the holiday season, and skates can be hired on site. The illuminated facades of the square make it one of the most picturesque places to skate in Poland.

The 2026 rink dates had not been confirmed at the time of writing; it usually opens alongside the Old Town Christmas market in late November.
