Hotels near Plaza Aragón Christmas Market

Plaza Aragón, at the start of the Paseo de la Independencia, hosts a smaller Christmas market with local artisans selling handmade pieces, decorations and gifts. In 2025, it ran from 12 December to 6 January, with 23 stalls, according to local guide Zaragozala.

The market is a calmer alternative to the busy Plaza del Pilar, and the Paseo de la Independencia, one of the city's main shopping streets, is decorated with lights.

It is easy to walk between the two markets along the Paseo de la Independencia and Calle Alfonso I, making it an easy add-on to the main Zaragoza Christmas market.

Pro Tip: Walk from Plaza Aragón to the Plaza del Pilar along Calle Alfonso I in the evening, when the street is lit up and the basilica appears at the end.
