Signal Festival runs from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 October 2026, across four evenings, under the theme Dream On! Dreams and Visions. The 2026 edition carries 21 installations, a route through Dejvice added for the first time, a Student Visions zone from Czech Technical University, a ten-metre laser work on the Vltava and a tribute to the legacy of Vaclav Havel. Jim Campbell and Kurt Hentschlager are among the artists. The full route map goes up on the festival site.
The outdoor installations are free and lit from 7pm to midnight; the indoor Signal INSIDE zone is ticketed and opens interiors that are normally closed. Works are spread over more than 12 kilometres across the centre, Vinohrady and now Dejvice, so this is a walking festival rather than a single venue. It draws over 200,000 people and is the one weekend in October when the city centre is genuinely busy.
Pro Tip: Go on the Thursday or the Sunday and start at 7pm sharp. Friday and Saturday queues at the video-mapping sites run to 40 minutes, while on a Thursday evening you can walk a full route in two hours. Start with the outer route and finish in the centre, not the other way round.
