Hotels near Sunset Boat Trip
Spain
Ibiza's coastline looks completely different from the water, and a sunset boat trip from Sant Antoni port is one of the most enjoyable ways for couples to see it. Several operators run 2-3 hour trips that take in the sea caves along the northwest coast, stop for a swim at an otherwise inaccessible cove, and return for the sunset over the open sea. Prices run from about 40-60 EUR per person depending on boat size.
The northwest coast between Sant Antoni and Cap Nunno has some of the most dramatic cliff scenery on the island - vertical limestone walls dropping into coves with no road access. The 'cave of the sea' (Cova de Can Marça, near Puerto de San Miguel, accessible by boat at 38.960, 1.432) is particularly impressive on boat tours that operate from the north.
Pro Tip: Book the latest available departure - usually 5:30 or 6 PM - to catch the full sunset on the return leg. Smaller private or semi-private boats (6-12 passengers) are worth paying slightly more for in July and August; the 50-person party boats depart from the same pier and reach the same spots, but the atmosphere is very different.
