The dry season, May to September, is the most reliable, with sunny days and lower humidity. The wet season still has plenty of clear mornings, and prices drop outside the July-August peak.
Ngurah Rai International sits between Kuta and Jimbaran; hotel transfers and ride-hailing apps (Gojek, Grab) are the easiest options. Seminyak is around 30 minutes, Ubud roughly an hour and a half in traffic.
Ride-hailing apps and private drivers cover most trips; scooters are the local default if you're a confident rider with a licence. There's no public transit network to speak of, and traffic makes distances slower than they look.
