Hotels near Christmas Market on the Rynek

The Wroclaw Christmas market fills the Rynek around the Gothic Old Town Hall, one of the finest in Poland. In 2025, the market was divided into themed fairy-tale zones on each side of the square, with a talking moose, a giant glowing gnome, an elf realm and a fun zone with merry-go-rounds.

The 2026 dates had not been announced at the time of writing. In 2025, it ran from 21 November to 7 January, open daily from 10am to 9pm, with food and drink stalls open until 2am on New Year's Eve. It was closed on 24 and 25 December and 1 January, and opened from 1pm on 26 December.

The market is famous for its mulled wine served in boot-shaped ceramic mugs, which change design every year and are popular souvenirs.

Pro Tip: Keep your boot-shaped mug as a souvenir instead of returning it for the deposit. Visit after 5pm to see the Rynek illuminations at their best.
