The Distillery Winter Village, Toronto's original Christmas market, began in 2010 as a European-style market and has grown into one of the best-known holiday markets in North America. The 2026 edition, its 17th, runs daily from 12 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, closing on Christmas Day, with the opening night and tree lighting on 12 November at 6pm.

Vendor cabins sell gifts from local and Canadian makers, and outdoor bars serve mulled wine and hot chocolate under canopies of lights. Carollers, live entertainment and Santa's Village add to the atmosphere.

Tickets are required during peak periods, generally after 4pm, and are sold online only, with general admission starting at around CAD 16 plus tax, according to blogTO.

Pro Tip: Visit on a weekday afternoon before 4pm, when entry has historically been free and the lanes are quieter. Book tickets well in advance for weekend evenings.
