2 Đ. 2 Tháng 9, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam
The Museum of Cham Sculpture opened in 1919 in a French colonial building at the western foot of the Dragon Bridge and holds close to 2,000 pieces of Champa stone and terracotta work, with around 500 on display at any time. The Champa kingdom ruled central Vietnam from the fourth to the fifteenth century. The altars, linga and dancing apsaras here came largely from My Son and other temple sites across Quang Nam province.
Entry costs 60,000 VND (about 2.20 EUR) and the doors open 07:30 to 17:00 daily. Several works carry Vietnamese national treasure status, including the Tra Kieu altar with its carved scenes from the Ramayana. An hour covers it comfortably. The free audio guide, opened by scanning a QR code at the entrance, is unusually good and turns what could be a quiet room of stone into an actual narrative.
Pro Tip: Come here before you visit My Son or Hoi An, not after. The context makes the ruined temple sites far easier to read. The older wings have no air conditioning, so a morning slot is considerably more comfortable in summer.
