The Power and Light District is Kansas City's entertainment hub - a purpose-built district around Grand Blvd and 13th Street with restaurants, bars, live music venues, and a large outdoor screen that will broadcast all World Cup matches during the tournament. The downtown KC streetcar (free, running along Main Street) connects through the Power and Light area and down to Crown Center.

Hotels in and around the Power and Light District run $180-320/night on match weekends - some of the most competitive rates of any World Cup host city for this level of central location. Arrowhead Stadium is a $15-25 rideshare from here (15-20 minutes). The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (4525 Oak St) is a 15-minute rideshare south.

Pro Tip: The free KC Streetcar runs from the River Market at the north end of downtown all the way south past the Power and Light District to Crown Center, Union Station, and the Crossroads Arts District. Use it constantly - it is one of the most useful free transit services in any US city.

Stadium distance: 10 km, 15-20 min rideshare ($15-25); no direct transit.
