Hotels near The Loop

The Loop is Chicago's central business district and the most transit-connected place to stay in the city. The CTA elevated train - the iconic 'L' - encircles the Loop on multiple lines, giving you direct access to every major neighbourhood and a straightforward route south to Soldier Field via rideshare or the #146 express bus to Museum Campus. Hotels here sit steps from Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago (111 S Michigan Ave), and the Chicago Riverwalk.

For World Cup visitors combining matches with full Chicago sightseeing, the Loop is the ideal base. You are equidistant from almost everything - Navy Pier, the Architecture Boat Tour, deep-dish pizza institutions, and the best rooftop bars. Expect to pay $350-550 per night for a mid-range room on match-day weekends, with luxury options pushing $700+. Book a room on an upper floor facing east for lake and Millennium Park views.

Pro Tip: The Cloud Gate sculpture ('The Bean') in Millennium Park is a 5-minute walk from most Loop hotels and completely free - ideal for pre-match photos with other World Cup fans from around the world.

Stadium distance: 3 km, 10-min rideshare ($15-25) or 35-40 min walk along the lakefront.
