Hotels in Belgrade

Belgrade is Serbia's boisterous, big-hearted capital — a city built at the meeting of the Sava and Danube where centuries of Ottoman, Habsburg, and Yugoslav history collide in fortress walls, brutalist blocks, and Belle Époque facades. Kalemegdan Fortress crowns the confluence; below it, boho Savamala, hipster Dorcol, and the pedestrian shopping street Knez Mihailova make the old town easy to explore on foot.

Belgrade's real reputation is nightlife — the floating splavovi clubs on the rivers, all-night kafanas playing Balkan brass, and rooftop bars over Skadarlija's bohemian quarter. Prices are still low by EU standards, food portions are enormous, and the city works as a launchpad for Novi Sad, Zlatibor, and Belgrade's own vast underground of Roman, Ottoman, and Cold War history.
