Can a company pay for accommodation directly?

In short

  • Yes. Book from a company or admin trip1 account, enter the employee as the guest, and pay from the corporate crypto wallet.
  • The employee never touches trip1 and doesn't need to be reimbursed. They just show ID matching the guest name at check-in.
  • The hotel may still ask for a card at check-in for incidentals - give the traveller a corporate card or set a reimbursement path.

How direct company payment works

Step 1 - Book from an admin account

Sign in to the company trip1 account. Search the destination and dates the employee needs.

Step 2 - Enter the traveller as the guest

Add the employee's name in the guest field. Add their email so they receive a copy of the voucher directly.

Step 3 - Add company invoice details

Enter the company legal name, address, and VAT/tax number for the invoice. This is separate from the guest name.

Step 4 - Pay from the corporate wallet

Complete the CoinGate checkout by sending from your corporate wallet (multisig, custody, or exchange). The booking confirms on-chain.

What the traveller needs at check-in

  • Photo ID matching the guest name on the booking.
  • A printed or digital copy of the trip1 voucher (also in their email if you added it).
  • A card for incidentals (minibar, damages) - most hotels will authorise a hold but not charge unless the traveller uses extras.
