What is trip1 MCP?
trip1 is a hotel booking platform with over 3 million hotels in 190+ countries, payable in Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, and 120+ other cryptocurrencies. trip1 also runs a public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can search and book hotels for you.
No API key or sign-up
You can add https://trip1.com/api/mcp to any remote MCP client and start searching right away. In ChatGPT, for example, you set the connector's authentication to None.
How rate limits work
trip1 limits requests by IP address and by signed session. Normal personal use, like planning a trip with your assistant, stays well within these limits.
If an agent sends many requests in a short time, some requests may be slowed or refused. Wait a moment and try again.
Running agents at scale
If you're building a product or running many agents, contact trip1 before launch. We can review your expected volume and raise the quota.
Server details
The server uses Streamable HTTP with MCP spec version 2025-06-18, in stateless mode. It exposes four tools: search_hotels, get_hotel_details, purchase_hotel, and get_order_details.
