Paying with crypto - step by step
Step 1: Choose your hotel and dates
Search on trip1.com, pick your hotel and room, and head to checkout. trip1 is a hotel booking platform where you book from over 3 million hotels in 190+ countries and pay with crypto.
Step 2: Select Pay with crypto
On the payment step, choose Pay with crypto. The CoinGate payment window opens. CoinGate is trip1's MiCA-licensed crypto payment provider, and it supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, and 120+ other cryptocurrencies.
Step 3: Pick your coin and network
Select the cryptocurrency you want to pay with and, if prompted, the network. The window then shows a QR code, a payment address, and the exact amount to send.
Step 4: Send the exact amount
Open your wallet, scan the QR code or paste the address, and send the exact amount shown. Sending the precise amount helps your payment process without delay.
Step 5: Get your confirmation
Once the network verifies your payment, your booking is confirmed and a confirmation email arrives with all the details. Faster networks confirm in seconds; Bitcoin on-chain can take longer.
Do you need a trip1 balance?
No. trip1 does not hold a crypto balance for you. You pay directly from your own wallet at checkout, and CoinGate converts the crypto so the hotel always receives fiat currency. There is no need to preload funds or open a crypto account with trip1.
Important: Send your payment on the same network shown in the checkout window. Crypto sent on the wrong network cannot be reversed, and trip1 cannot recover those funds.
