Do I get back the same amount of crypto if I cancel?
Refunds are calculated on the value of your booking, so the amount of crypto you receive can differ from what you sent. CoinGate refunds your original wallet.

Why the coin amount changes
Every booking on trip1 is priced in ordinary currency. CoinGate converts your crypto at the exchange rate at the moment you pay, and a refund runs that conversion in reverse at the rate on the day it is issued.
If your coin gained value since you booked, you receive fewer coins for the same amount of money. If it lost value, you receive more. Either way the value returned matches what the cancellation entitles you to.
Stablecoins behave differently. USDC tracks the US dollar, so a USDC refund comes back at close to the figure you sent, minus any cancellation charge from the hotel.
What decides how much you get back
Start with the rate you booked. A refundable rate cancelled inside its free cancellation window returns the full value, a rate cancelled late can carry a fee of one night or more, and a non-refundable rate usually returns nothing.
Open the Manage booking link in your confirmation email to see exactly what you will be refunded before you confirm the cancellation.
Important: Refunds go to the address you paid from. If you no longer control that wallet, tell trip1 support before the refund is processed, because an on-chain transaction cannot be reversed once it confirms.
