The Country Club Plaza - often called simply 'The Plaza' - is Kansas City's most elegant district. Modelled on Seville with Spanish-tiled architecture, outdoor fountains, and upscale boutiques along Ward Parkway, it is unlike any other neighbourhood in the Midwest. Several of Kansas City's best restaurants and the most polished mid-range to luxury hotels are concentrated here.

Pro Tip: Book a table at one of the Kansas City BBQ legends before or after your match. Joe's Kansas City (3002 W 47th Ave) is 10 minutes from the Plaza by rideshare and widely regarded as one of the best barbecue restaurants in the country. Their burnt ends - $18 for a half pound at time of writing - are the item to order.
