The travertines are the reason Pamukkale sits on every Turkey itinerary. Walking is mandatory barefoot on the designated route to protect the surface, with water temperatures between 33 and 36°C. The 2026 combined ticket covers both the pamukkale travertines and Hierapolis ruins for €30 per adult, with under-8 foreign nationals free and ages 8 to 12 at a reduced rate. Enter through the South Gate to reach the terraces first without a long climb, or through the North Gate if you want to walk down through them from the plateau.
