Dry season
The drier stretch in Indonesia is when outdoor days are the default. February, July, August and September sit on that side of the year. Heat is still the point. Rain is not gone, it is no longer in charge.
A country pin hides local storms. Read a city page if you already know the neighbourhood. Pack for sun and for one wet afternoon you did not plan, not for a temperate spring jacket.
Read Indonesia in this stretch as its own climate, not as a generic holiday season copied from another destination.
