Events in Munich: what to know
The Wiesn is about a 20 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof and sits on the U4 and U5 at Theresienwiese. Entry to the grounds and to the tents is free. What you reserve is a table, directly with the individual tent, and those open months ahead.
Rooms in Ludwigsvorstadt and around the station are the closest and the first to go. Rates climb across the whole city for the full fortnight, not only the weekends.
