Why does my checkout crypto amount differ from my exchange?
The crypto amount at trip1 checkout comes from CoinGate's live rate for the hotel's price, which can differ slightly from your exchange's rate, spread, and fees.

Why the amounts differ
Each platform uses its own rate
Crypto doesn't have one single price. Each exchange and payment provider calculates its rate from its own market data, so numbers can differ slightly at any moment.
Exchanges show a spread
Many exchanges show a mid-market price but buy or sell at a slightly different rate. The rate you'd actually get can be different from the headline price.
The price is converted from the hotel's currency
Hotel prices are set in regular currency. CoinGate converts that price into your chosen coin when you open the payment window.
Prices keep moving
If you compare the two a few minutes apart, the market may have moved in between.
Network and withdrawal fees aren't included
The checkout amount doesn't include your network fee or any exchange withdrawal fee. Those come on top.
Which amount to send
Send the exact crypto amount shown in the CoinGate payment window, plus your network fee. If you send based on your exchange's price, the payment may arrive short or over.
Important: If your exchange takes its withdrawal fee from the amount you send, add it on top so the full invoice amount arrives.
