What if I send crypto after the payment window closes?
Your crypto isn't lost. If you pay after the trip1 payment window closes, CoinGate may still accept it, or you can request a refund from the payment page.
Updated
Sorry this isn't working as expected - late payments are common and fixable.
Why late payments don't confirm automatically
CoinGate locks the crypto amount on your invoice only during the payment window, usually 20 minutes. After that, the price may have moved, so CoinGate can't always match a late payment to your booking.
How to request a refund - step by step
- Open the CoinGate payment page from your checkout or email
- Click "Refund request" once CoinGate has detected your payment
- Choose the currency network and enter the wallet address for your refund
- Check your email address and add a comment if you like
- Keep "Accept my payment if possible" ticked if you still want the booking, or untick it if you only want a refund
If you can't see the refund form
Contact CoinGate support with your CoinGate order ID and your transaction hash (TXID). You'll find the TXID in your wallet or exchange history.
Rebook if you still need the room
If CoinGate refunds your payment, start a new booking on trip1. Rates can change, so check the price before you pay.
Important: Use a refund address that supports the same coin and network you paid with. Crypto sent to an incompatible address can't be recovered.
