My Binance Pay payment failed on trip1 - what should I do?
A failed Binance Pay payment on trip1 usually comes down to balance, verification, your Pay PIN or an expired QR code. Here's how to fix each one and finish your booking.
Updated
We know it's frustrating when a payment doesn't go through, especially with a trip1 hotel room waiting. Don't worry - a failed Binance Pay payment is almost always fixable in a few minutes, and in most cases no money has left your account.
Common causes and fixes
"Insufficient balance" or the payment won't go through
Why this happens: The wallet Binance Pay is drawing from, often Funding, doesn't hold enough of the coin you picked.
How to fix it:
- Check your balance for that coin in the Binance app
- Move funds into your Funding wallet, or tap the arrow on the payment screen to switch wallets
- Choose a different coin if another balance covers the amount
Binance Pay isn't available or your account isn't verified
Why this happens: Binance Pay needs a verified Binance account in a supported region. It isn't available everywhere, and US residents on Binance.US can't use it.
How to fix it:
- Complete identity verification in the Binance app
- If Binance Pay isn't offered in your region, pay by Binance withdrawal or any other wallet instead
- Restart checkout on trip1 once your account is ready
Your Pay PIN is locked or 2FA failed
Why this happens: Binance locks your Pay PIN after five wrong attempts, and an expired 2FA code gets rejected.
How to fix it:
- Reset your Binance Pay PIN in the Binance app security settings
- Make sure your authenticator app's time is synced
- Restart checkout and confirm with the new PIN
The QR code or checkout window expired
Why this happens: The CoinGate countdown timer ran out before you confirmed in the app.
How to fix it:
- Close the old checkout window
- Go back to your booking on trip1 and choose Pay with crypto again
- Select Binance Pay and scan the fresh QR code straight away
Coin not supported or daily limit reached
Why this happens: Binance Pay only accepts supported coins, and your account may have hit its daily Binance Pay limit.
How to fix it:
- Pick a supported coin such as BTC, ETH, BNB or USDC
- Check your Binance Pay limits in the app
- If the limit blocks you, pay the booking by standard wallet transfer instead
If money left your account but nothing confirmed
Binance Pay usually confirms instantly. If your Binance account shows the payment but you have no trip1 confirmation email after 30 minutes, check your spam folder. Then contact trip1 support with your Binance Pay order ID and transaction details, and we'll track it down.
