Paying for your trip1 booking with Exodus
trip1 lets you book from over 3 million hotels in 190+ countries and pay with 50+ cryptocurrencies through CoinGate (trip1's crypto payment provider). Exodus is a self-custody wallet for desktop and mobile that holds most of the coins trip1 accepts, including BTC, ETH, USDC, LTC, BCH, XRP, TRX, DOGE, BNB and SOL.
As of September 2026, Exodus has removed WalletConnect and its web3 browser from Exodus Mobile, and support for its browser extension ends on 1 October 2026. That's fine for trip1 - a manual payment works from any wallet.
How to pay with Exodus - step by step
Step 1: Choose Pay with crypto at checkout
Pick your hotel, room and dates on trip1 and select Pay with crypto. The CoinGate window opens with a countdown timer, and your rate stays locked while it runs.
Step 2: Select your coin, network and manual payment
Choose the coin you hold in Exodus and the network it sits on, then pick the manual payment option. Exodus can hold the same token on several networks, such as USDC on Ethereum or Solana, so check which one your balance uses.
Step 3: Copy the address and exact amount
On your phone, you can scan the QR code from the Exodus Send screen. On Exodus Desktop, copy the address and amount from the CoinGate window instead.
Step 4: Fill in the Send screen in Exodus
Open the coin in Exodus, tap Send, paste the address and type the exact invoice amount. XRP needs the destination tag and SOL needs the memo shown on the invoice - if Exodus doesn't show a field for it, pick another coin.
Step 5: Review the fee and send
Exodus shows the network fee before you send. Tokens like USDC on Ethereum need ETH for gas, so top up the native coin first if Exodus warns you. Send before the timer ends, and complete the one-time Transfer of Funds Regulation (TFR) form if CoinGate asks.
Step 6: Wait for your booking confirmation
Once the transaction confirms on-chain, trip1 confirms your booking and emails you the details.
Important: Always send on the exact network shown in the CoinGate window. Crypto sent on the wrong network cannot be reversed, and trip1 cannot recover those funds.
