Paying for your trip1 booking with Trust Wallet
trip1 lets you book from over 3 million hotels in 190+ countries and pay with 50+ cryptocurrencies through CoinGate (trip1's crypto payment provider). Trust Wallet is a self-custody mobile wallet, so you can pay straight from your phone in a few taps.
How to pay with Trust Wallet - step by step
Step 1: Choose Pay with crypto at checkout
Pick your hotel, room and dates on trip1 and select Pay with crypto. The CoinGate window opens with a countdown timer, and your rate stays locked while it runs.
Step 2: Select your coin and network
Choose the coin you want to spend and the network it sits on in Trust Wallet. For example, pick USDC on BNB Smart Chain only if your Trust Wallet USDC balance is on BNB Smart Chain.
Step 3: Connect or scan
For WalletConnect, select it in the CoinGate window and approve the connection in Trust Wallet - on a computer, scan the WalletConnect QR code with the Trust Wallet app. For a manual payment, open the coin in Trust Wallet, tap Send, then tap the scan icon and scan the CoinGate QR code.
Step 4: Add a memo or destination tag if asked
XRP invoices show a destination tag and SOL invoices show a memo. Enter it in Trust Wallet's Memo field exactly as shown, or CoinGate can't match your payment automatically.
Step 5: Check the fee and confirm
Make sure the amount matches the invoice and that you hold enough native coin for the fee - ETH on Ethereum, BNB on BNB Smart Chain, TRX on Tron or SOL on Solana. Confirm before the timer runs out, and fill in the one-time Transfer of Funds Regulation (TFR) form if CoinGate asks.
Step 6: Wait for your booking confirmation
Once the transaction confirms on-chain, trip1 confirms your booking and sends you a confirmation email.
Coin-specific guides
Some coins have their own quirks. Check the guides for XRP and destination tags, Solana (SOL), TRON (TRX), Dogecoin and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) before you pay.
Important: Always send on the exact network shown in the CoinGate window. Crypto sent on the wrong network cannot be reversed, and trip1 cannot recover those funds.
Paying for a hotel with Trust Wallet - FAQ
Yes. On trip1 you choose Pay with crypto, then connect Trust Wallet through WalletConnect or scan the CoinGate QR code and send the exact amount.
Trust Wallet holds all the coins trip1 accepts through CoinGate, such as BTC, ETH, USDC, LTC, XRP, TRX, DOGE, BNB, POL and SOL. Pick the coin and network that match your Trust Wallet balance.
Enter it in the Memo field on Trust Wallet's Send screen. Without the tag, CoinGate can't detect your payment automatically.
The fee is paid in the network's native coin, such as ETH, BNB, TRX or SOL. Add a small amount of that coin to Trust Wallet and try again.
