Why hasn't my crypto payment confirmed on trip1 yet?

We know it's stressful watching your booking sit in "waiting for payment". Most of the time it's a normal blockchain delay - here's how to check and what to do.

Common causes and fixes

The blockchain is just slow

Why this happens: On-chain Bitcoin and Ethereum depend on miners including your transaction in a block. When the network is busy and your fee is low, it takes longer.

How to fix it:

  1. Copy your transaction hash from your wallet.
  2. Paste it into a blockchain explorer (mempool.space for BTC, Etherscan for ETH, Solscan for SOL).
  3. Wait for the required confirmations (usually 1-3 for the payment to be counted).

Payment window expired

Why this happens: CoinGate invoices lock a rate for a limited window (usually 15 minutes). If the transaction confirms after that, the payment may need reconciliation.

How to fix it:

  1. Contact trip1 support with your booking reference and transaction hash.
  2. CoinGate will reconcile the payment or refund it to a wallet address you provide.

Wrong network selected in your wallet

Why this happens: If you sent USDC on Ethereum but the invoice was for USDC on Polygon (or similar), CoinGate won't detect the payment.

How to fix it: Contact CoinGate support with the transaction hash. Cross-network recovery is only sometimes possible - always verify the network before hitting send next time.

Important: Sending crypto to the wrong blockchain network cannot be reversed by trip1. Always double-check the network on the CoinGate invoice before you send.
