About The AI Conference 2026
The AI Conference runs at Pier 48 on San Francisco's Mission Bay waterfront from 29 September to 1 October 2026. Day ZERO on 29 September is given over to hands-on workshops, with the main two-day programme following.
It sits between research and practice: model architecture and evaluation, agents and tooling, inference economics, and what actually ships inside companies, with founders, researchers and engineering leaders on stage rather than pure vendor keynotes. Being in San Francisco in autumn means a heavy concentration of lab and startup people in the room.
Pier 48 is beside Oracle Park in Mission Bay, walkable from SoMa and a short Muni ride from downtown. SoMa and the Embarcadero put you closest; Hayes Valley and the Mission are more pleasant to stay in and still a quick ride away.
