Warm, not punishing, on the Mediterranean and Aegean. You can walk at more hours of the day than in July. Evenings cool enough inland for a layer, still terrace weather on the Antalya harbour.
This is the month a mixed trip works: coast days that are still about the water, then Cappadocia or Pamukkale without the high-summer glare. Istanbul is one of its better faces, which is a low bar in a humid city and still true.
